I received an inquiry email on my website from brian@***.com

Brian Webb (954) 543-****.

"I wanted to speak with you regarding our publication, The Fairfield County Edition of The Golferโ€™s Magazine. We are allowed to list no more than 2 companies to represent each Industry in this publication.

Itยดs different from advertising online or in The Yellow Pages where there are multiple companies that provide the services that you provide. Well after 3 months this publicationโ€™s sales deadline is this Friday, June 14th and we do not have a Drone Service Company listed for this publication and I was wondering if you would be interested in being the only Drone Service Company listed for this publication? Our designers are in-house so we can start on your AD right away which we design at no extra cost. If so, please contact me."

It sounded too good to be true for the rates that they offer.

My golf friend had never heard of them, even though they claim to cater to the 10 biggest Golf Clubs in our state! I found a review on this website for a different magazine called, "The Country Club Life" with exactly the same storyline. I was convinced it was a scam, but had to make sure...

I then went through the sample magazines and found a similar company in Tampa and reached out to them to see if they had any traction from their ad. They said they had not received 1 lead from their ad that was run 6 months ago, although they did receive proof that a magazine was printed.

Wtf

Glad I stayed away from this one. If it's sounds too good to be true, it probably is.

Hope I saved somebody... Like

Thanks, dude I was contacted as well and the same thing was told to me. It sounded too good to be true and I have already been burned from other companies.

I'm glad I researched them and found your review! You saved me!!!!

I just received a message from the same company offering the same line of bs. I just called them back and here is what happened.

As someone who has been in sales and the customer service industry for over twenty years, I was first taken aback by the representatives lack of tact and pushy sales techniques. That was the first red flag. She (Katy Cruz) tried to "close the deal" way too early without ever establishing any report. I told her that I would look into this/company further and she gave me a superfluous deadline which in sales is a "call to action." I took action alright.

I immediately googled information and reviews about The Golfer's Magazine as well as the "Top Golf Magazines" out there and this company is NOT in the rankings anywhere. Thanks for the above post ... you absolutely aided in my research and potentially saved my company from a frivolous advertising investment. My reason for this review is to notify others of such scams.

My preferred solution is to be informed. This sort of thing exists...everywhere~

Glad I was able to help! It was time consuming for me to research because there were no reports of Golfer's Magazine being a scam. Please add the number for "Katy Cruz" to make it easier for people to search if they fall victim to this scam.

You can add Linda Gomez as well as this is the person currently trying to sell me. I plan on going to one of the golf clubs listed in my area to see if it's even real!
